Follow the instructions of your artist as to when you should complete your water rinse. Do not use soap. Rinse thoroughly until your water runs clear. Pat dry. Do not apply lotion or use soap for 24 hours.

After your tan is fully developed (24 hours later), we encourage you to apply a hydrating cream or moisturizer daily. Your moisturizer should be free of mineral oils, petroleum, sulfates, and parabens. We suggest and carry Hempz brand lotion in studio for your convenience. Drinking adequate amounts of water daily will help to keep your skin fresh and hydrated as well.

Using a gel-based body wash, free of parabens and sulfates will encourage the longevity of your airbrush tan, as these ingredients will strip away your tan. We suggest and carry Hempz brand body wash as well as all natural + organic soaps made from goat milk in studio for your convenience.

Some products/things to avoid in order to ensure your tan lasts properly are excessive soaking (baths, hot tubs, swimming, etc.,), lack of moisturizer, areosol sunscreens, acids (general found in anti-acne products), adhesives, body sprays/perfumes directly applied to the skin, facial masks, exfoliating scrubs, and alcohols/witch hazel (often found in facial toners). If you have a question about a product/activity specifically - please contact us.

When you notice your tan beginning to fade away or rub off, it is time to exfoliate the remains. We suggest soaking in a hot + steamy shower/bath for 10-15 minutes to soften the skin and using one of our in-studio agave cloths or exfoliating mitts for easy exfoliation. Dry brushing is also a great option. Ensuring that all of your tan is scrubbed away and your skin is prepped before your next session is crucial to every tan.
